Colombian Navy continues to disrupt the logistics chain of drug trafficking organizations

Armada de Colombia continúa afectando la cadena logística de las organizaciones al servicio del narcotráfico

The sustained operations in different municipalities of the region led the criminal organizations to loss of more than 2,600 million pesos.

According to the investigations, the material would be used for drug production and illegal mining activities.

During search and control operations carried out by the Colombian Navy, jointly with Colombian National Army and coordinated with the National Police, 164 tons of cement, 4,957 gallons of gasoline and more than 19 thousand gallons of DIESEL were found by troops in the rivers and roads of the departments of Antioquia, Bolívar and Chocó, damaging by more than 2,600 million pesos the finances of the criminal groups that commit crimes in these departments.

Troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalions No. on the 16th and 17th, reached the municipalities of Carmen del Darién and Quibdó in Chocó, Pinillos in Bolívar and Vigía del Fuerte in Antioquia, taking this material out of circulation and hitting the logistics chain of these organizations in the region.

The material found, which according to the preliminary investigation would be used for the production of drugs and illegal mining activities, was being transported without the certificates for the handling of controlled chemical substances, for which it was immobilized and put into custody of the authorities.
