Ante emergencia por la segunda temporada de lluvias en el país.

In Bojayá, Quibdó and Medio Atrato, 19.5 tons of aid have been distributed.

The Colombian Navy, in coordination with the Red Cross, Colombian National Army, the Government of the Department of Chocó and the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management – UNGRD, continue to join efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the communities settled in the department of Chocó that have been hit by the wave caused by rains.

To this end, the Naval Institution has arranged its resources and has sent its Navy Infantry component to bring aid to those disturbed by this natural phenomenon. In Bojayá, Quibdó and Medio Atrato, 19.5 tons of humanitarian aid have been distributed, including meeting chairs, clothes, food kits, personal and kitchen hygiene, among other basic necessities.

For his part, the Mayor of Medio Atrato, Diomedes Cuesta Córdoba, said: "Thanks to the Colombian Navy and the Government of the department of Chocó for the humanitarian aid that will be distributed to the most vulnerable people in the municipality due to the wave caused by rains that hits the department.”
