The Colombian Navy, through the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.17, in the course of two joint operations with the National Army and coordinated with the National Police in the departments of Santander and Bolívar, reported the arrest of four individuals and the finding of solid supplies, thus harming criminal and drug trafficking structures.

In the first operation carried out with river and land elements in Barrancabermeja - Santander, members of the Military Forces raided a collection center where narcotics were stored that would later be sold at retail in the city. In the operation, four individuals were arrested in flagrante delicto for the crime of carrying and trafficking in weapons and narcotics, also seizing two pistols, 12 cartridges, four kilograms of marijuana, 500 grams of Bazuco (crack) and 10 grams of cocaine hydrochloride.

The individuals, who apparently were members of an organized common gang known as Los de la Unión, would be in charge of drug trafficking in smaller quantities in the communes 7 and 3 of Barrancabermeja - Santander.

In the second operation, in the municipality of Pinillos in the department of Bolívar, it was possible to find 15,000 kilograms of cement in 300 bags, which were being transported on board a boat, which at the time of submitting the documentation was overdue.

The arrested and the material were put into custody of the authorities.
