The Colombian Navy, in two river control and interception operations carried out in the municipality of Puerto Carre帽o and Caser铆o Casuarito, in the department of Vichada, discovered 370 kilograms of fish that had entered the country through unauthorized routes and without the necessary conservation conditions.

During the first operation, the military personnel conducted on the pier of the municipality of Casuarito, the inspection of a boat that was coming from Venezuela transporting 300 kilograms of fish that would cost in $ 4,500,000 pesos. The material was being transported without the appropriate conditions seen in the Decree 561 1984, in chapter VII, in relation to the transportation of fishery products, which led to this finding; this type of practice poses a great risk to public health, it hits directly the local economy.

On the other hand, in an operation coordinated with the National Police in Puerto Carre帽o, an inspection was carried out on a ship that in the same way came from Venezuela, in which 70 kilograms of fish were found by troops, which were in the same way transported, without the basic conditions of conservation.

The fish that was smuggled by unauthorized routes of the neighboring country, was put into custody of the authorities. During the operation there were no arrests
