According to intelligence information, this illegal merchandise would have as its final destination Central America, and would belong to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.

During a naval operation of search and military control of area in the municipality of Bajo Baudó, Department of Chocó, the Colombian Navy dealt a new blow to drug trafficking, finding about half a ton of cocaine hydrochloride belonging to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.

The operation was reported when Navy Infantry units, attached to the Pacific Naval Force, who were conducting control, surveillance and area security patrols, detected a suspicious, unnamed ship aground on a beach approximately 5 nautical miles of the municipality of Playa Nueva, north of the municipality of Bajo Baudó.

Upon arriving at the place, the troops carried out the inspection of the boat finding inside 438 rectangular packages, which turned out to be 438 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. No arrests occurred during the operation, the material was put into custody of the authorities.

The cargo costs more than 14 million dollars in the international illegal market, money that could not enter the GAO Clan del Golfo, significantly harming its criminal capacity.
