Colombian Navy finds illegally transported merchandise whose cost would exceed 26 million pesos

The Colombian Navy, in development of river control operations on the Amazonas and Putumayo Rivers, reported the finding of 1,033 units of liquor and 94 bags of rice and sugar, which were being transported aboard different ships, in order to illegally market them in the Colombian market. The cost of the goods would exceed 26 million pesos.

 

The Amazonas Coast Guard Group in development of two river control operations in the Beach sector, municipality of Leticia - Amazonas, made the finding of 840 units of Brazilian beer and 24 units of cachaza liquor on board two Peruvian ships named Baca and Luciano Transport, which did not have the respective documentation of the boats' departure. In the same way, this foreign liquor, would cost in $ 3,696,000 million Colombian pesos, it did not have a certificate which will guarantee its legality.

 

On the waters of the Putumayo River, in the Bocas del Caucay谩 sector, municipality of Puerto Leguizamo - Putumayo, troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.30 they carried out two river control operations, one of them together with the National Army, where a finding was made on the Rintintin boat of 169 units of liquors that would cost $ 12,250,000 COP, and 94 sacks of rice and sugar aboard the El Tulc谩n boat which would cost $ 10,648,000 COP.

 

The material found in the department of Amazonas and Putumayo did not have the regulatory documentation for the legal transport, so they were put into custody of the Directorate of Taxes and National Customs- DIAN.
