In maritime control operations, the Colombian Navy through the Urabá Coast Guard units and in coordination with the SIU-DIJIN of the National Police, managed to find 195 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 6.3 kilograms of marijuana inside a boat, in the sector of Punta Arena, Necoclí, Antioquia.

This result was possible thanks to the expertise of the Coast Guard units, who through a maritime interception operation found the Colombian boat La Española, which was manned by five individuals, who noticing the work of the authorities threw into the water 9 bags containing inside 212 rectangular packages of illicit substances.

Once recovered the material, the boat was transported to the main pier of the coast Guard Station of Urabá, where officials of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation -DIJIN-carried out the Tests for Preliminary Identification, leaving positive result to 195 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, and 6.3 kilograms of marijuana. The material and those captured were put into custody of the authorities.

This result represents a loss of more than six million dollars for the financial structures of the organized armed group, Gao, Clan del Golfo, which commit crimes in this region of the country.
