During search and control operations carried out by troops of the Colombian Navy, jointly with Colombian National Army and coordinated with the National Police in the rivers and roads of the departments of Antioquia, Bolívar, Cesar and Chocó, different supplies were found by troops and three illegal structures used for the production of illicit substances were found by troops.
The operations carried out in the municipalities of Achí, Pinillos and Regidor in Bolívar, Alto Baudó, Carmen del Darién, Quibdó and Riosucio in Chocó, La Gloria in Cesar and Vigía del Fuerte in Antioquia, led to the finding of 55,595 gallons of fuel and about 95 tons of cement, hitting the logistics chain of organizations serving drug trafficking.
The items found, which apparently would be used for drug production and illegal mining activities, were being transported without the certificates for the management of controlled chemical substances, for which they were immobilized and put into custody of the authorities.
In the same way, three illegal structures used for cocaine production were found by troops in the department of Chocó during search and area control operations. These structures were destroyed in controlled conditions, complying with the established protocols.
