In less than a week, the Colombian Navy prevented the entry of more than $ 128 million to Farc dissident groups, with the finding of more than 4.2 tons of illicit drugs.

During the operations to exercise control of the sea, the Colombian Navy, over the weekend, managed to find more than two tons of cocaine transported in a semi-submarine, in waters of the south Pacific of Nariño. With this finding, the trafficking and consumption of five million doses of drugs in countries of the region and the income of more than 68 million dollars to the finances of the dissident group of the Farc Western Bloc Alfonso Cano was prevented.

Surface Units (ships) and Coast Guard units of the Pacific Naval Force, guided by intelligence information of the Colombian Navy, intercepted a semi-submarine-type naval device, manned by three individuals, including a foreigner, who were traveling towards Central America.

When inspecting the engine, 15 meters long, troops found 102 bags with 2,039 packages rectangular shape, which by its physical characteristics, correspond to illicit substances, so they were brought to the dock of the coast Guard Station of Tumaco, where members of the Technical Body of Research office of the Prosecutor conducted the identification test which left positive result for 2,040 kg of cocaine.

The three men were given to officials of the Judicial Police of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office and shall be responsible for the crimes of use, construction, commercialization and / or possession of semi-submarines or submarines and traffic, manufacture and / or carrying of narcotic substances.

With the interception of the naval device and the finding of the shipment of narcotics, the finances of the residual Armed Group, GAO-r, Alfonso Cano Western Bloc that commits crimes under the criminal command of alias Allende, in the Pacific region of Nariño, were hit hard.

This result added to the 2.2 tons of narcotics found in recent days, and leave more than 4.2 tons of illicit drugs found by the Colombian Navy in less than a week, in addition to preventing the circulation of more than nine million doses of cocaine and more than four million doses of marijuana, which mitigates the increase in new drug users worldwide, the violent deaths generated by microtrafficking and the death of people by overdose.
