Units of the Colombian Navy intensify the search efforts and carry out the review of the situation that took place in the early hours of Sunday, April 24, when a 68-year-old rudimentary fisherman was doing fishing and was approached by unknown individuals, who tied his arms and stole the engine of the boat he was on, leaving him adrift at sea for more than 10 hours.

Once the event was known by the Naval Institution, the search network was activated in the area and immediately Cartagena Coast Guard Units were deployed to the La Boquilla sector, in order to intensify the search and maritime controls that led to find the whereabouts of the individuals who committed this crime, harming the good physical condition of the fisherman native to this region of Bolivar.

It is important to highlight that the Coast Guard Units are coordinated with the National Police, the Attorney General's Office, the maritime and fishing productive groups, tourism companies and other local authorities, increase control efforts to contribute to the safety of those who transit and navigate the maritime, river and Ground areas of the department of Bolivar.
