Colombian Navy provides humanitarian assistance to woman in emergency on the island of San Andrés

Colombian Navy crew members carried out the medical evacuation of a woman who presented a possible contusion to the head, when she was in the Rose Cay sector, Aquarius Key, on the Island of San Andrés.

 

The emergency was reported to the Traffic Control and Maritime Surveillance Tower by VHF radio, about the 41-year-old woman who was with her 39-year-old husband, both of Colombian nationality and suddenly appeared the episode that required medical assistance.

 

In the Unit of the fast Reaction of the coast Guard Station San Andrés, they stabilized the woman and gave her first aid, later along with her husband were taken to the pier of the coast Guard Station Samuel May Corpus, where they were received by the medical staff of the Central Regulator of Emergencies and Urgent (CRUE), in order to be transferred to the Hospital Department to provide specialized medical assistance.
