Units of the Southern Naval Force of the Colombian Navy during a river operation found 83 rectangular packages containing inside 82.2 kilos of pressed marijuana, with which approximately 160,000 marijuana cigarettes can be manufactured.
The operation was carried out on waters of the Putumayo river, in the sector known as Salado Grande in the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, and was made possible thanks to intelligence work carried out by the Navy in the area. Illegal marijuana, allegedly belonging to the Organized Armed Group Estructura 48, was transported in a rudimentary wood boat with double bottom.
The material found was put into custody of to the authority.
