Once it was confirmed that there were no victims at the scene, the boat was towed away of the inhabited area so that it did not pose a danger to the community.

Subsequently, two units of the Port Authority of Buenaventura and an Amphibious Landing Ship-type unit of the Pacific Naval Force, approached the place to support the extinguishing of the fire; simultaneously, coordinated with the Volunteer Fire Department of Buenaventura they were transported aboard a Coast Guard unit to the scene to provide support.
