cogfm-armada-de-colombia-frustra-caso-de-extorsion-bajo-la-modalidad-de-falsos-servicios-24.jpg

Thanks to the timely reaction of troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Sucre of the Colombian Navy, it was possible to prevent two officials of an IPS (health service) of the municipality of Sincelejo from being victims of extortion under the modality of false Service.

The criminals would have contacted the medical center requesting an ambulance service for the evacuation of a patient who allegedly required medical assistance, at a time when he was in the municipality of Palmas de Vino, a rural area of the municipality of Palmitos.

Once the ambulance arrived at a farm in the sector, the health workers received a call threatening to end their lives, demanding that officials of the institution pay a large sum of money for their release.

Troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Sucre, attached to the Navy Infantry Brigade No.1 were alerted on the situation, and a special group was taken to the area where the victims were, who were rescued.
