The Naval institution continues to deploy all its logistical resources to support producers and agricultural leaders.

The Colombian Navy, within the framework of its commitments with the community of El Salado, in the department of Bolívar, provided logistical support for the transport of more than three tons of agricultural products from this community in the region of Montes de María to the city of Cartagena.

In vehicles, attached to the Navy Battalion No.13, troops arrived the municipality of El Salado, in El Carmen de Bolívar, tons of food were transported from Montes de María to Cartagena in order to support the peasant associations’ leaders of this community,.

These operations not only seek to boost the economy of the peasants of the municipality of El Salado but also to supply the different vulnerable inhabitants in this department. Among the products transported are papaya, ahuyama, lemon, coconut, yam and cassava, which are the basis in the agricultural economy of the region.

Due to the bad conditions of the roads and the lack of vehicles for agricultural transport, the Colombian Navy, through the Navy Infantry Battalion No.13 and Navy Mobility Battalion No.1, has provided support on multiple occasions to different communities in order to guarantee the commercialization of this type of plantations on the Colombian North Coast.
