The Colombian Navy in a joint and coordinated operation with the National Army, the Colombian Air Force and the National Police, achieved the discovery of 326 kilograms of marijuana and 98 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, in the sector Ciénaga El Torno, in the area of the municipality of Sitionuevo.
With information collected by the Naval Intelligence, units of the Coast Guard Station of Santa Marta with ground support by military soldiers of the Army and the Group of Naval Commandoes of the Caribbean, arrived at the place where the hideout was with the drug Distributed in 17 bags with 429 rectangular pressed packages. The drug was confiscated and transported aboard Colombian Air Force Aircraft to the capital city of Magdalena.
With this finding, it was prevented that about 5 million dollars would enter the financial structures of drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean. The drug was put into custody of the authorities.
