In sustained and interagency operations against illicit activities, units of the Colombian Navy with the technical investigation Corps, CTI, dealt blow to the criminal structures serving drug trafficking in Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca.

Guided with intelligence information, units of the military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Buenaventura in coordination with the technical investigation Corps, CTI, and with the support of the company of explosives and demining No.2, in the course of a military search and area control operation in the commune two of Buenaventura, found an illegal hiding place in which 400 packages of rectangular shape and 908 grams of TNT (explosive) were found.

The material was transported to the premises of the Navy Brigade No.2, where members of the technical investigative body of the prosecutor's office implemented the approved preliminary identification test – PIPH to the substance found inside the packages. The result was positive for 450 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. During the operation, an individual who was at the scene was caught in flagrante delicto.

The materials that would apparently be destined for Central America, would be commercialized at a cost of more than 15 million dollars.
