Within the framework of the December festivities and with the purpose of raising the tranquility of the citizens, in addition to strengthening institutional activity in the most remote regions of the country, an extensive security operation has been conducted in eastern Colombia. This work includes permanent operations in the departments of Vichada and Guainía, where all available military operational resources have been used to protect the inhabitants of the region.
Air operations have been carried out, including the overflights with fixed-wing aircraft with the Caravan C-208 and helicopter with the Huey II. These operations have led to monitoring key areas responding in a timely manner to any eventuality, ensuring the tranquility, harmony and joy of the communities during this special season.
In addition, activities has been conducted along with the communities, such as humanitarian support activities and the distribution of presents in hard-to-reach places, reaffirming the institutional commitment to the well-being of the inhabitants of these regions.
Thanks to the resources of the Eastern Air Group and the specialization of the Colombian Aerospace Force, security has been strengthened in the east of the country, leading families to enjoy their holidays in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, contributing to the well-being of the inhabitants.
