Communication equipment was seized in Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo

cogfm-incautacion-material-comunicaciones-incautado-puerto-asis-10.jpg

In a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Army, communications equipment was seized, apparently belonging to the Organized Armed Group (GAO) Estructura 48.

The operation was carried out by troops of the Naval Infantry Battalion No.30 and the National Army, who seized six communication radios, four batteries, twenty radio antennas and four radio transport clips, hidden in an illegal warehouse in the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo.

The material, which was allegedly used by this criminal group to carry out illegal activities in the municipality, was put into custody of the authorities.

The Colombian Navy through the Southern Naval Force, decisively and sustainably, continues with the operational deployment in the zone under its jurisdiction, counteracting the criminal operation of criminal organizations, ratifying its commitment to ensure the security and wellbeing in the territory; and invites the inhabitants to report through toll-free lines 146 and 147, any suspicious activity that violates the wellbeing and security of the municipality.
