Within the framework of the Departmental Law and order Committee, led by the Tolima Governorate, military, police and civil authorities met, with the purpose of creating alliances and designing strategies to strengthen security in this department. During the meeting commitments were agreed that will be reflected in the increase in the perception of security among citizens, in the central west of the country.

The meeting was attended by Colonel, Commander of the Air Combat Command No.4, who after a strategic analysis with counterparts of the National Army and the National Police, in addition to delegates of the Attorney General's Office, National Protection and Migration Unit Colombia, distributed resources of the Territorial Security Fund, to address the fight against organized crime, through the field of operations by the different authorities.

The acquisition of both vehicles and motorcycles and the strengthening of the work of members of the Military Forces in the territory, and also the allocation of resources destined to the payment of rewards, were some of the decisive issues discussed during the meeting; these are efforts that to date have led to valuable results, such as the planning for the arrest of alleged ringleaders of Armed Groups, who commit crimes in the department of Tolima.
