With several high-impact arrests made in recent days, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) have achieved significant results against kidnapping and extortion, reducing the operations of organized armed groups in the country.
The Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Huila in a coordinated operation with the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the National Police, a member of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r - Segunda Marquetalia, Teófilo Forero company, who is known as Negro Reyes, under de command of alias Wilinton, head of finances of this criminal structure, was arrested. The arrested individual was in charge of extortion through calls and also face to face even in the farms of ranchers, farmers and the commercial sector of the municipalities of Neiva, Tello and Baraya, demanding about $20,000,000 COP and more.
The Gaula - Meta, in coordination with the Technical Investigative Corps of the Office of the Attorney-General of the Nation, carried out two major operations against illicit activities through the crimes of kidnapping and extortion. In the first mission, they arrested a member of the organized gang Los Puntilleros, onder the commando of alias El Negro or Carnicero, in charge of collecting money from extortions and kidnappings in the lower Ariari area. In the second operation, troops arrest in flagrante delicto a member of the GAO ELN, for the crime of extortion and terrorism. The arrested woman was denounced by the victim, a businesswoman of the region who was demanded to give $300,000,000 COP but when she refused to make that payment, they made a terrorist attack with the launch of a grenade, causing great losses to her business valued at $400,000,000 COP which is why she was exiled of the country.
In the same way, troops of the Military Gaula - Norte de Santander, with the Colombian National Police arrested two members of the GAO Los Pelusos, Víctor Ramón Navarro Serrano urban substructure, who were wanted by the Colombian justice system for the crimes of extortion and association to commit crimes.
In the same way, the Military Gaula Risaralda with the Gaula of the National Police arrest in flagrante delicto in the transport terminal of Manizales, a member of common criminality, who was demanding $2,500,000 COP from a professor in exchange for not attacking his life.
