Soldiers of the Fourth Division of the National Army, with Differential Resources, lead to preserve and generate security conditions for petroleum complexes, tolls, electricity generators and bridges, among others.
In the geo referencing process of fuels by the Colombian Chamber of petroleum, Gas and Energy it was revealed that Meta, Casanare, Arauca, Santander and Huila represent 86.6% of the total national petroleum production, with the department of Meta being the department with the most barrels produced, 351 k barrel per day, which is a share of 50.6%.
The municipalities that contribute the most to production are Puerto Gaitán, Acacías and Castilla Nueva, which is why motorized units, Urban Special Forces, Marte Group (explosives experts), Meta Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and the protection platoon, who protect these important strategic assets and critical construction, along with other military units of the Fourth Division.
In the same way, we preserve the environment, biodiversity and road construction from any internal or external threat, in order to work for the promotion of well-being and comprehensive development. In the same way, as part of the Unified operation, meetings are held with security personnel of the different private sector companies that are in the area in order to identify possible threats.
