The education and Doctrine Command (CEDOC), through its schools and centers, has been conducting conferences since July 20, in which military historians and special guests speak on issues related to the events and characters in the frame of the commemoration of the 210 years of the cry of independence of Colombia.
The Center of Historical Studies of the Colombian Army carried out with great success the panel Cry of Independence in the context of South America, an international academic activity, which had the support of the Institute of Historical Studies of the Army of Peru and counted on the participation of officers, non-commissioned officers and civilians of the two armies.
The School of Communications and the School of cavalry used the institutional and external platforms to conduct the virtual conversations, where staff of the education subsystem strengthened knowledge on the historical processes of July 20, 1810 and its incidence in the Army.
Meanwhile, the Infantry School holds until July 24, the week in commemoration of the 210th Anniversary Of The Cry of independence, an event in which officers and non-commissioned exhibitors of the active reserve of the military forces, as well as civilians, evoke the independence process and each of its decisive battles, addressing history issues since the birth of the infantry to the Korean War.
It is worth mentioning the participation of the Center for Historical Studies of the Army in television events at the national level, institutional and private media bringing to a wide audience the historical veracity of the events relating to the 20th of July.
In this way, the education and Doctrine Command continues to enhance in the soldiers of Colombia the knowledge on the history of the nation, using technologies in the framework of biosecurity measures against COVID-19.
