Today on the Day of the Heroes of the Nation and Families, the Colombian Aerospace Force, at the center of Colombia, pays a heartfelt tribute to the Heroes of land, sea and air who gave their lives in the fulfillment of their duty.
The military ceremony was held in front of the monument of the heroes of the Air Combat Command No.1, where the flag was hoisted at half-mast, a wrath lying was made and Eucharist took place, demonstrating the respect, gratitude and loyalty that we have with those who have departed in the acts of service for the Nation.
Every year, the Military Forces, Civil and Ecclesiastical Authorities carry out this commemoration established in article 1 of Law 913 of 2004 as a way to honor the effort, achievements and sacrifice of the military and police officers in the framework of courageous operations for the defense of Colombia.
This is how at the No. 1 Air Combat Command, the Aerospace Force joins this national commemoration of our fallen heroes, who are an example of patriotism and will always be present in our history as true heroes of peace.
