The heavy military operation does not stop, abundant weapons and communications material were seized in the rural area of Pitalito, Huila.
Troops of the Infantry Battalion N.° 27 Magdalena, of the Ninth Brigade of Colombian National Army, intercepted a bus through a checkpoint, and troops found a compartment with weapons, ammunition and communications material.
This powerful result of the military operation is produced thanks to the expertise of the soldiers at the checkpoint on the road to the village of El Cedro, Pitalito, Huila, where they stopped the passenger collective transport vehicle, which went from the center of the country to Mocoa, Putumayo.
Troops found 100 pistols, 176 magazines, 11,900 09 mm cartridges, 10 Kenwood professional radios, 10 magazines and 10 antennas, material would cost 854 million pesos approximately.
Thanks to this result of the military operation, the Ninth Brigade dismantled the plans of the residual organized armed groups, which include their criminal expansion through intimidation, the illegal recruitment of minors, kidnapping, extortion and attacks against the Military Forces using the so called pistol plan.
