In a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police in the rural area of the municipality of Puerto Gaitán, Meta, alias Salado, Yeison, Flaco or Camacho and Orejas were arrested, who allegedly conducted criminal activities against economic productive groups in the departments of Meta, Casanare and Vichada.
The events were reported in the Carimagua village of Puerto Gaitán, Meta, where the Aerospace Force provided support to the National Police who raided the house where these people were hiding, who apparently would be linked to the GAO Clan del Golfo, substructure Gonzalo Oquendo Urrego.
In the same way, it was possible to find war material, including 01 mini uzi submachinegun, 05 9 mm pistols, 09 9 mm magazines, 65 9 mm cartridges, 06 cellular equipment, among others.
The arrested and the material were put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office No. 187 Section of the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations (DECOC) in Villavicencio, to continue with the judicial procedure.
In this way, the Colombian Aerospace Force works in coordination with the other State Institutions, in order to ensure the safety and protection of the Colombian people in the Eastern Plains region.
