Army and police found 100 Kg of cocaine hydrochloride and destroyed a cocaine laboratory in the Catatumbo region.

Troops of Rapid Deployment Force No.3, of the Second Division of the National Army, in coordination with the National Police, hit the chain of drug trafficking and illicit economy of the Organized Armed Groups, GAO, which commit crimes in the Catatumbo region.

In the first operation, in the municipality of Espiritu Santo, in the municipality of Ocaña, it was possible to find and neutralize a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory, which apparently belonged to the GAO ELN. This cocaine laboratory, which would cost approximately $ 1,300 million pesos, had a production capacity close to one ton per month of cocaine hydrochloride. At the time of its destruction, 122 gallons of cocaine hydrochloride in solution, 16 kilograms of cocaine base and a large quantity of liquid and solid precursors were found by troops.

In the same way, in the municipality of Aguas Claras, in the municipality of Ocaña, it was possible to find a Nissan Patrol vehicle that carried 100 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, distributed in several segments of it; the drug would cost almost $4,000 million pesos. The illegal merchandise would be distributed and marketed throughout the country.

This heavy blow will strike the illegal financial scaffolding of this organized armed group, with which they seek to obtain illicit war material to intimidate civilians, attack the Military Forces and the strategic assets of the State, damaging the tranquility and security of the Catatumbo region.
