Alias Campoalegre would be a member of the Arturo Ruiz Structure, of the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc, and was among the most wanted in the framework of the Themis 2.0 Operation
In a coordinated operation, framed in the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, troops of the Omega Task Force, of Colombian National Army, and the National Police materialize the arrest warrant against alias Campoalegre, in San Vicente del Caguán, department of Caquetá.
Alias Campoalegre would be the material author of the homicide of Isidoro Bautista Ortiz, a peasant leader, murdered on November 17, 2024, in the municipality of Campoalegre, department of Huila.
In addition, this individual is charged with the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes, manufacturing, trafficking and carrying of weapons, ammunition for restricted use of the Military Forces.
This individual was put into custody of the authorities. By means of this military operation, it was possible to reduce the violence and the threat against peasant leaders; in the same way, the organized armed group Jorge Suárez Briceño, commanded by alias Calarcá, and its possibility of expansion in this territory is directly hindered.
