These constructions would belong to the Organized Armed Group – GAO, Structure 30 Rafael Aguilera.
970 gallons of liquid supplies, 900 kilograms of solid supplies and 805 kilograms of coca leaf were found by troops.
In a decisive operation to hit the drug trafficking chain and protect the security of the communities of the Cauca Pacific region, troops of the Colombian Navy, jointly with Colombian National Army and the Colombian Aerospace Force, found and destroyed three laboratories for the production of coca base paste in the department of Cauca.
The first operation was carried out in the El Charco and Vista Hermosa sectors of the municipality of Timbiquí - Cauca, where military troops found and destroyed two rudimentary laboratories, which, inside, contained 600 gallons of processed gasoline, 90 gallons of DIESEL, 150 gallons of processed coca base and 750 kilograms of cement, as well as 180 kilograms of coca leaf, which were hidden in plastic barrels for production.
In the second procedure, troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 42 of the Colombian Navy, together with members of the Military Forces of Colombian National Army and the Colombian Aerospace Force, arrived at the Sanson sector, in the municipality of Guapi, in Cauca, where they found a rudimentary laboratory, which contained inside, 130 gallons of processed gasoline, 150 kilograms conducted by lime, cement and ammonium nitrate, and 625 kilograms of coca leaf. In the place, machinery and material, used for the elaboration and commercialization of illegal substances, were in the same way found.
It is presumed that these drug production constructions belonged to the Residual Organized Armed Group – GAOr E30 Rafael Aguilera, which commits crimes in this region of the country.
The material was destroyed on the spot, in controlled conditions, complying with the established protocols.
The Colombian Navy through the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 42, will continue to carry out joint operations with the Military Forces, which potently hit the drug trafficking chain, and weaken the criminal operations of illegal groups that intend to disturb the tranquility of the inhabitants of the Colombian Pacific.
