In the department of Chocó, More than a thousand people benefited from comprehensive health and wellness activity

En el Chocó, Más de mil personas beneficiadas con jornada de salud y bienestar integral

Within the framework of the Unified State operation, the Navy Infantry Battalion No.23 of the Colombian Navy, in coordination with the Mayor's Office of Bahía Solano, the Institute for Blind and Deaf Children, the Colombia Solidaria Foundation, the Misión País Foundation and the Re-Vida Foundation, carried out a Development Support Activity in the village of El Valle, municipality of Bahía Solano - department of Chocó.

The Naval Institution sent the ARC ship Bahía Solano to transport 46 volunteers to this rural Chocó area, which has been greatly disturbed by the recent wave caused by rains that the country is experiencing. During the activity, care was provided in general medicine, dentistry, nutrition, speech therapy, optometry, pediatrics and psychology, which benefited 1,239 people.

In the same way, recreational activities were carried out, and medicines and donations were distributed, including clothing, food baskets and food supplements, to support the communities hit during this emergency.
