The interception operations are constant in each of the 37 municipalities of Huila.
As part of the military operations to combat drug trafficking and related crimes, troops of the 27th Magdalena Infantry Battalion, of the Ninth Brigade of Colombian National Army, with the judicial support of the Huila Police, found 58.5 kilograms of coca base paste in a rural area of the municipality of Pitalito.
The result occurred in the village of El Cedro, where members of the Military Forces set up a checkpoint. During the search of a private car, several packages with the drug were found by troops, which were immediately seized. This result represents a direct blow against the illegal activities of the outlaw groups, and their finances are hit by approximately 177 million pesos.
For the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics, a man was arrested in flagrante delicto, who was put into custody of the authority for his prosecution process.
