This man, native to the department of la Guajira, recognized in the field of drug trafficking for acting criminally in a systematic way, is wanted by the District Court of South Florida.
Troops of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats - CONAT, in coordination with the National Police, arrested in the village Bah铆a Hondita de Uribia, Department of La Guajira, alias El Chander, alleged financial leader and responsible for drug trafficking in this region of the Colombian Caribbean.
According to intelligence information, this individual is accused of being part of a criminal organization with transnational scope that carried out the weekly shipment of two tons of narcotics from the Department of La Guajira to Central America and the United States. In addition, he would have criminal alliances with members of the Armed and Organized Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo and other criminal organizations.
In the same way, he would be utilizing indigenous reserves to carry out his criminal operations, where he had a wide network of informants who alerted him of the activity of the troops and other authorities. This person would in the same way be linked to the payment of large sums of money to individuals in sectors such as Punta Gallinas and Bah铆a Hondita, in Alta Guajira, for information regarding drug trafficking.
Alias El Chander was put into custody of the authorities, who will continue to conduct his judicial process. Through this powerful result of the military operation it was possible to strike again the illegal activities of the criminal groups converging in the country.
