Improvised explosive devices and military accessories belonging to this organized armed group were found by troops in the military operation.
As part of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan, troops of the Tenth Brigade, a military unit attached to the First Division of Colombian National Army, found an important illegal hiding place with war material and military accessories at kilometer 10 of the road that leads from the municipality of Maicao to the village Majayura, in the Department of La Guajira, which allegedly belonged to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN.
This result was possible after an intelligence work carried out by the N.°3 Air Combat Command of the Colombian Air Force and the Sijín of the National Police, who provided the necessary information for the Medium Armored Cavalry Group General Gustavo Matamoros DCosta to make this important finding that heavily hits the GAO ELN.
In this operation it was possible to find 21 improvised explosive devices, 89 cartridges of different calibers, 5 magazines, a shotgun and different materials and military accessories alluding to this organization.
The material was put into custody of the authorities, who will be in charge of continuing with due process.
