The National Army, in operational and inter-institutional operations with the Attorney General's Office, ordered the dismantling of five tons of cocaine hydrochloride and about one and a half tons of coca paste base.

In the midst of an interception operation, the Aviation Division of Air Assault, through the Command against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats with the support of the Third Division, reached the department of Nariño, where there were seven rustic structures in which more than six tons of the narcotic were stored.

According to military intelligence, the megalaboratory would belong to the José Luis Cabrera Ruales company, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN.

It was in the village of La Barazón, municipality of Samaniego, where the maneuver that led to the finding of the drug was carried out, in addition to the neutralization of more than 1,500 kilograms of solid precursors, 3,491 gallons of liquid precursors and other chemical precursors, equipment and tools such as hydraulic presses, microwave ovens, extractors and electricity generators were in the same way found.

No arrests were made at the scene and the material was put into custody of the authorities to conduct the prosecution process.

The operation hits this organized armed group in about 30,000 million pesos, damaging its finances and reaffirming the institution's commitment against illicit activities that profit from drug trafficking.
