A joint military operation led by the Colombian Aerospace Force and Colombian National Army to report the first positive results of 2025, with the finding and destruction of a laboratory for the production of coca base paste in the department of Vichada. This achievement was made possible thanks to the coordination of resources and the work of military intelligence.
The laboratory, in the Taguara village of Palmarito, belonged to the Organized Armed Group ELN, José Daniel Pérez Carrero front, whose economic capacity was weakened by this operation.
In the place, the authorities found significant quantities of liquid and solid supplies, including 165 gallons of coca base, 30 gallons of gasoline, 50 kilograms of ammonium nitrate and 30 kilograms of lime, in addition to other materials used in the illicit activity, generating damage of approximately 55 million pesos.
