In a coordinated work conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force, the Colombian National Police and with the support of the Technical Research Corps CTI, it was possible to find and destroy machinery used for the illicit exploitation of a mining deposit in the municipality of Norcasia in the department of Caldas.
This military operation was made possible thanks to an aerial intelligence operation leading to the finding of this machinery and in coordinated action with the Police and Prosecutor's Office it was possible to disable two excavating machines, two combustion engines, four pumping engines and a sorting machine, used for this illicit practice.
This powerful blow, against criminal structures often at the service of drug trafficking, leaves an economic loss of approximately 700 billion pesos, preventing the illicit enrichment of these organizations.
This is how the Colombian Aerospace Force will continue to carry out powerful military operations together with other national institutions, demonstrating once again its arduous work and commitment to the dismantling of these illicit structures, contributing to the tranquility and security of the country.
