This laboratory would be at the service of structures outlaw in the region, such as the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, GAO ELN and GAO residual. In the joint and inter-institutional operation, two individuals were arrested in flagrante delicto, and weapons, ammunition, coca paste base and other elements used for illicit activity were found by troops.
In a joint manner with the Colombian Air Force and interinstitutional with the Attorney General's Office, soldiers of the Twenty-Eighth Brigade of Colombian National Army, reported the finding of a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory in the rural area of La Buenavista, in La Primavera, department of Vichada.
In the operation, two men are found in flagrante delicto who are allegedly carrying out illicit production of cocaine hydrochloride, so they were arrested on the spot and put into custody of the authority to carry out their prosecution process, and thus determine their participation in this illicit activity.
The laboratory was composed of two handcrafted wooden structures, with a black plastic roof; there it was possible to find more than 80 kilos of pressed cocaine hydrochloride and 12 kilos of coca base paste, as well as solid and liquid precursors: lime, urea and sodium permanganate. This illicit laboratory would cost approximately 1600 million pesos, so it would produce about a ton and a half of cocaine hydrochloride per month.
In addition, the place hid an illegal hideout with war material, where a revolver, two shotguns, two magazines and more than 500 units of ammunition of different calibers were seized. The material found was in the same way put into custody of the authority.
