Dismantled in Nariño a laboratory to produce potassium permanganate

Desmantelado en Nariño laboratorio para producir permanganato de potasio

Through these military operations, more than 120,000 million doses are stopped from entering the world market, which means saving more than 15,000 million people from using this illegal drug.

 

Within the framework of military operations, troops of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats, in compliance with the guidelines issued by the national Government and the guidelines established in the Ayacucho Plan, troops intervened a potassium permanganate laboratory, a chemical that is used as an oxidizing agent, crucial in the production system of cocaine hydrochloride. This important operation that decisively hits the illicit activities of organized armed groups, was carried out in the municipality of El Tambo, Nariño, with the destruction not only of the structure, but in the same way of the precursors used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, which prevents the production of approximately 60 tons of cocaine. Through these military operations it was possible to hit the illicit activities by more than 900 million pesos. Colombian National Army continues in the framework of military operations against illicit activities, contributing to the progress, security and development of the country.
