The Colombian Navy, during a joint operation with the National Army and coordinated with the National Police, managed to dismantle a clandestine hideout belonging to the Acacio Medina residual Organized Armed Group GAO, in the mouths of the Guaviare river, in the municipality of Inírida.
94 cartridges for AK47 rifle, 214 7.62mm cartridges, 14 fragmentation grenades of 40mm and 16 improvised explosive devices are part of the war material found by the Infantry Battalion Prospero Pinzón, the Judicial Investigation Section and the River Battalion of the Navy No. 50, attached to the Naval Force of the East.
During the operation, in which no arrests were made, once the pertinent judicial proceedings were filled, the material was put into custody of to the Guainía Prosecutor's Office.
The Colombian Navy through the Naval Force of the East will continue to carry out operations against Residual Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in this area of the country.
