In a joint and interagency operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, Colombian National Army and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, it was possible to find and destroy a laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, in Buenavista, municipality of La Primavera, Vichada.
During the mission, it was possible the arrest of two men and the destruction of the construction associated with drug trafficking, in the same way, approximately 100 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, 32 kilos of coca paste base and 8 kilos of pressed hydrochloride were found by troops; in the same way, chemical precursors and elements used in the production of narcotics were destroyed among these, 30 sacks of lime and 12 sacks of urea.
The dismantling of this laboratory has a direct effect on drug trafficking operations in this region of the country, by restricting their ability to process and distribute illegal substances; this operation not only hits the production flow of cocaine hydrochloride, but in the same way negatively impacts the logistical structures of the criminal groups that hit the department of Vichada.
This achievement highlights the effectiveness and continuous commitment of the Colombian Air Force in the fight against organized crime, working in coordination with other security institutions, to dismantle the criminal structures that threaten the peace and security of Eastern Colombia.
