Dismantling of gang specialized in the theft of farm animals in the departments of Meta and Cundinamarca

This operations result dealt to the common organized crime group specialized in the theft of farm animals in the departments of Meta and Cundinamarca shows the commitment of the soldiers to safeguard the security and tranquility of the productive livestock groups and people in general.

 

The arrest of six individuals in flagrante delicto, belonging to the common organized crime group specialized in cattle theft, in the sector of the village Japan, of the municipality of Paratebueno, Cundinamarca, is aligned to the Ayacucho Plan 2023-2026.

 

Together with these criminals, the troops of the National Army and units of the National Police found 124 heads of cattle valued at approximately 372 million pesos, 8 vehicles in which they transported the animals, 2 cars used for their mobility, a motorcycle used by the individuals for their movements, 6 cell phones and a traumatic weapon.

 

The individuals and the elements were put into custody of the Local Prosecutor's Office of Medina, Cundinamarca, for the respective prosecution process.
