This year, Colombian National Army has carried out the controlled destruction of more than 59 tons of cocaine hydrochloride.
Within the framework of the guidelines issued by the Ayacucho plan regarding the fight against drug trafficking, troops of the Anti-Drug Trafficking Command and Transnational Threats, in the department of Nariño, dismantled a cocaine hydrochloride laboratory.
This military operation, coordinated with the Attorney General's Office, was carried out in the village of El Salado, in the municipality of Samaniego, Nariño, after the finding of more than 2.5 and a half tons of the illicit substance, as well as more than 400 kilograms of coca paste base and liquid and solid precursors for the production of the narcotic.
With the dismantling of this laboratory, the activities of Organized Armed Groups are hit by more than $14,300,000,000, and more than 4,000,000,000 doses are stopped from being distributed to the international market, in this way, it was possible to save the lives of more than 500,000,000 people by not consuming this psychoactive substance.
