Units of the Anti-Drug Directorate of the National Police of Peru, in the integration of information and distinctive Resources of the Colombian Navy, reported the finding and subsequent destruction of two complexes for the production of narcotics in the province of Loreto (Peru), border area with Colombia and Brazil.

The first of these complexes consisted of 6 illegal constructions for the production of coca base paste and the obtaining of cocaine hydrochloride, in addition to five camp areas, which had the capacity to house about 60 people, members of transnational drug trafficking organizations. In the same way, it contained 4,172 kilograms of liquid cocaine hydrochloride and 91 tons of solid supplies, in addition to weapons of different calibers and ammunition, being arrested three people of Peruvian nationality who were guarding the place.

At the same time, another complex made of 10 illegal constructions for the production of coca-based paste was found, with the capacity to produce about a ton of the narcotic; there were 24 tons of solid precursors, weaponry and ammunition.

According to valuable information, these transnational drug trafficking organizations would have links with the Residual Organized Armed Group Structura 48 that commits crimes on the Putumayo River, thus damaging their main source of economic income, reducing their capacity to hit the Military Forces and communities in the region.
