The operation against drug trafficking continues, thanks to the interception operations carried out by the Colombian National Army, through the Air Assault Aviation Division in support of the Second and Sixth Divisions, in coordination with the National Police.

Soldiers of the Command against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats CONAT, reached the municipalities of Puerto As铆s, Orito and San Miguel in the department of Putumayo and the municipality of Sardinata, in Norte de Santander to dismantle six laboratories of coca paste base and two more for the production of cocaine hydrochloride.

According to information provided by military intelligence, these complexes would be part of the Juan Fernando Porras Mart铆nez front of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln and the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, structure 48.

Inside the rustic structures were found by troops more than 560 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in solution, 1,598 gallons of coca paste in process, 1,193 gallons of acetone, among other chemical precursors used to obtain the narcotic.

All this material was put into custody of the State authorities for their controlled destruction; the blows to the illegal finances of these groups exceed five billion pesos.

During the weekend, nine complexes for the production of the drug were destroyed by this unit, showing the resources of the units in order to directly attack the factors of instability that aims to hit the tranquility of the Colombian people.
