As part of the events aimed at strengthening relations with the Amazonian inhabitants, the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Amazon Air Group, in coordination with the Samaritans Purse organization, carried out an outreach activity with the education people of the Francisco José de Caldas School, at kilometer 6 of the municipality of Leticia, department of Amazonas.
During the activity, 200 toy kits were distributed, accompanied by booklets with content in values, which were received by the directors of the institution for subsequent distribution among the students.
The realization of this initiative was made possible thanks to the air mobility resources of the Colombian Aerospace Force, which led to the transportation of approximately three tons of humanitarian aid to the Department of Amazonas. Through the use of its aircraft, the Institution overcame the logistical challenges typical of this region, working to ensure that the elements arrived in a timely manner to benefit the students.
This activity, carried out in conjunction with Samaritans Purse, was aimed at promoting values, generating spaces for integration and contributing to the strengthening of the students' comprehensive formation. It in the same way reaffirmed the importance of coordinated work to carry out initiatives that positively impact the most remote villages in the country.
Through these types of actions, the Colombian Aerospace Force demonstrates that its military and logistical operation resources transcend the fulfillment of the constitutional mission, becoming a strategic asset at the service of the nation.
