Thanks to operations, 2.7 tons of cocaine have been seized in Norte de Santander during the current year.
As a result of the operations that the National Army carries out against drug trafficking, troops of the Thirtieth Brigade, with the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, found and destroyed a drug production laboratory in the village of San Roque, in the municipality of Sardinata, Norte de Santander.
Inside the laboratory were seized 669 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 285 kilos of coca-based paste, hallucinogens that, apparently, would have been sold by the criminal subgroup Félix of the Organized Armed Group (GAO) ELN.
In the same way, 500 kilos of solid supplies, 2,220 gallons of liquid supplies and 275 gallons of fuel were seized. The dismantling of this illicit structure directly hits the finances of the aforementioned illegal group for more than USD$1.3 million.
Once again, the Military Forces ratify their commitment to fight drug trafficking, and in this way contribute to the construction of peace in Norte de Santander.
