With drummer and cornet, soldiers got up early to distribute aid in Bucaramanga

Soldiers distributed food baskets in times of pandemic covid-19 in Santander

About 300 baskets of food were distributed door to door, early Monday morning, by the National Army.

Troops of the Second Division of the National Army, through the Fifth Brigade, woke up early on Monday to distribute nearly 300 humanitarian aid kits to a vulnerable sector of the Santander capital city.

The Río de Oro Invasion, a sector with difficult vehicular access in the limits with Bucaramanga and Girón, was the chosen site by the soldiers to arrive with cornet and drummer to start this distribution in a different way: making sound the cornet of the National Army to these families, who with red flags on the doors of their houses, ask for the support of the State.

During the activity, the inhabitants of this sector receive, without leaving their homes, the humanitarian aid provided by the Food Bank, demonstrating once again the institutional commitment to civilians to meet their needs and comply with the decrees of mandatory preventive isolation to fight the Covid-19.
