General Ramses Rueda Rueda, commander of the Colombian Air Force (FAC), and Major General Barry Cornish, commander of the 12th Wing of the United States Air Force (AFSOUTH), greeted the men and women of both air forces, who are training in the combined exercise Rel谩mpago VI.
In the framework of the official visit of Major General Barry Cornish in Colombia, the professionalism and high levels of security of the US and Colombian military were tested, standardizing their techniques, tactics and procedures.
Testing Resources and interoperability were some of the objectives of Rel谩mpago VI, which day after day imposed new challenges to pilots of the military forces, who had to overcome them by working together, an operation that was highlighted by the commanders of the FAC and AFSOUTH.
Rionegro, Antioquia, was the main launching environment of the missions, in which the air superiority aircraft F-16 and Kfir participated, an environment where the ties of partnership of the United States and Colombia were reaffirmed, which since 1935 has been strengthened as a long-standing association.
