The Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM continues to carry out operations against the illegal extraction of coal and the informal operation of small brick factories in Cundinamarca, in the frame of a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional work with the Medium Cavalry Group No.13 Tequendama of the Army, the National Police and the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca, CAR.

During 2025, 14 operations have been carried out in the municipalities of Lenguazaque, Villapinz贸n, Suesca and Bogot谩, there have been 44 arrests for the crime of damage to natural resources, the intervention of 18 open-pit mining production units and the finding of 02 cargo trucks, 02 backhoes, 02 compressors and 02 chainsaws.

These powerful military operations, which are carried out within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Plan of the Military Forces, have caused damage to the illegal groups at more than 4,939195,000 million pesos this year.

During the operations, the Aerospace Force has provided air intelligence information, in order to identify the criminal operations of those who carry out the illegal exploitation of these natural resources in the open air, in several municipalities of Cundinamarca.
