With the purpose of improving the quality of life of older adults in the southwest of the country, men and women of the Colombian Aerospace Force traveled for the first time, from the city of Cali to the department of Cauca, to visit these vulnerable people.
The members of the Comprehensive operation Section of the Air Combat Command No. 7 led an entertaining activity with the support of the National Police to work to provide 25 elderly people of the Wonderful Years Foundation of the city of Popayan, a different and full of joy day.
This touching meeting included the distribution of 25 pairs of shoes, donated by a Colombian company, as well as soaps for personal hygiene and diapers, with which it is hoped to cover the basic needs of the residents of this foundation for a while.
On the other hand, the elderly in the same way enjoyed a playful and recreational afternoon accompanied by of the military and police officers, who organized activities such as the presentation of a cultural dance and various games that were a source of fun and laughter, providing them, for a moment, an opportunity to put aside their worries. The elderly thanked the Officers with smiles and hugs, especially for the presents given.
The Colombian Aerospace Force will continue to carry out social responsibility activities throughout the southwest of the country, working inter-institutionally with institutions from both the public and private sectors, in order to generate spaces of well-being to make senior citizens feel valued.
